I would highly encourage everyone to look at Provenge as either their first or next line of defense. I have had a radical prostatectomy (2010) and radiation plus hormone deprivation (2012). Cancer came back this year and I am starting with Provenage and wish it had been my first choice instead of my last. Provenge alters your white blood cells so that your immune system will fight the disease. It isn't a treatment.. it is a solution. We can't all it a cure yet as it hasn't been on the market long enough but from all the data it looks like if you can get in the program early enough you will not be dying from Prostate cancer you will die from something later down the road.

Have completed my first round of blood draw and subsequent infusion 3 days later. All is going well so far zero after affects. My next blood draw is in 10 days so I'll have plenty of time to rejuvenate.

I think you have overestimated the benefit of Provenge. It was approved 8 years ago. It has benefits but they don't seem to be huge.
