I am a 73 year ole black male. I was diagnosed in 2011. It was decided to treat with hormonal therapy. I am currently on my second round of chemo. My main concern is the numbness in the feet and fingers. As I am a dentist, this numbness is very difficult to deal with. I am trying a therapy for the neuropathy in the feet.

Neuropathy sucks. I had it in the soles of my feet, thankfully, for a brief time. It abated on its own. Did your oncologist suggest a remedy?

Dr. Michael,

This disease and its treatments just make living life difficult.  I am sure that you know, but Black Men tend to have much more aggressive prostate cancer than whites.  So, please be very aggressive in your treatments and monitoring.
