Hey everyone. I'm 40 weeks today and am feeling a bit fed-up. Baby feels really low down, and I am getting tightenings but they are more like irregular braxton hicks rather than labour contractions. I've had no show as far as I am aware, and no breaking waters. Just feeling uncomfortable now and keep getting calls and texts from family and friends asking if anything's happening..so frustrating! I have a son already who is nearly 6 years old - he was born by elective c-section at 38 weeks, as I had low-lying placenta (praevia) all the way through that pregnancy. This time everything is fine, and although I recovered well last time I would prefer to labour this time. Baby needs to hurry up and do something though, because there are restrictions to induction options with a section scar, due to some methods bringing labour on too heavily and causing too much pressure on the scar. I just can't wait now! Myself and husband didn't find out baby's sex, so I am even more excited to find out if it's a boy or girl!! Come on lil one..we're all desperate to meet you!! All the best to you other expectant mums - praying for safe deliveries and healthy babies for us all.x
Getting impatient now!! :/: Hey... - Pregnancy and Par...
Getting impatient now!! :/
Have u tried eating lots of pineapple i havent had a baby yet by my sister in law swore by pineapple to bring labour on
Best of luck baby will make a apparence soon xx
Kaikay2 I'm in a similar position as you. I'm 40 weeks plus 3 days. Also with texts from my family "is she here yet" "any news?" "what's happening?" "ooo you don't want to go over you know" "I was 2 weeks past my due date" etc etc etc. I haven't had a show or waters break and have the same low down pressure feeling and very tight belly.
Must be more frustrating for you knowing that by this point in your first pregnancy your baby was already born so these extra weeks must be quite unfamiliar.
Hoping that your wait isn't much longer and have the same hopes as you... happy healthy babies for all.

My sister-in-law found a decent hot curry worked for her Hopefully you won't have ot wait much longer, good luck to you mama *hugs*
If you're up to it have you tried sex? Sperm is supposed induce labour if you're far advanced enough. It's not a theory I've tested myself. I'm only 37+3 weeks but having felt nauseous throughout I can't wait for him to be here, so I can only imagine how you're feeling. Good luck with it all.
