Not feeling pregnant 15 weeks 4days, is that normal ???
hey, I felt just like u, I had got over my sickness and felt great in myself and I didn't start to feel movement till 19 weeks (am 20+1), give it a few weeks and u will trust me! my bump has literally appeared out of nowhere and I look pregnant rather than a bit chunky and now I can feel movement it feels a lot more real but I felt just like u and I think its quite common. x
Hiya Charlotte, does your uterus feel hard to touch?? I didn't get a bump until about 21 weeks with my first. Is it your first baby? I am 13weeks with my 3rd and I dont feel any different either, not had any sickness but to be far I never with my other 2 pregnacies.
Hey I'm glad I'm not the only one, its my first so not sure how to be feeling!!! I have 16 week midwife appointment Wednesday so hopefully they will also put my mind at rest. I also feel just a little over weight rather than pregnant lol x
You've just explained exactly how I feel - I'm 18 weeks tomorrow & "thickening" around the waist a bit. No other symptoms now which is great in a way but a little dis-concerting... Roll on 20 week scan!!
Hi megzey, yeah I suppose it does??? Like I say it is my first so all over the place, I have felt like this though for maybe 3-4 weeks but all was ok at 12 week scan. I had a bleed just after that and they said it could be a slight hemerage but will investigate more on next scan so I also have that hanging around in the back of my head x
Hi again do you no what the 16 week appointment in tails ??? Someone mentioned hearing the heart beat xx
I hadn't felt pregnant until around 28/29 weeks maybe because I'm so busy with two other children you do literally just forget, plus I'd planned this one so it wasn't like I wasn't expecting it lol just weird how when I does happen you literally can't believe it. Funny what our hormones do
its my first too so i was asking same questions ur asking now about a month ago, at my 16 week apt the midwife let me listen to the heartbeat, checks blood pressure and she asked me for a urine sample (although she said she normally would of waited till nxt apt for tht) it was about a 40 min apt, she answered any questions I had and u can ask her anything, if u think of something write it down coz wen u get in there u forget. she asked if I had felt movement yet (she said it sometimes doesn't happen till 20 weeks) and I was like I don't think so as I didn't really know what I was meant to be feeling but I went back and had my blood pressure checked and I had started to feel little flutters. I hav my nxt apt in 3 weeks with my midwife.
Thanks ladies really looking forward to my appointment now !! Just hope all is ok, I'm just a worrier xx
i didn't care about the rest of the apt all i wanted to hear was the babys heartbeat and she did my blood pressure before hearing it and was slightly high and then once i heard babies heartbeat she did it again it was normal, but was such a relief wen hearing but she said don't b disheartened if u cant hear it she said sometimes the baby might b laying in a difficult position but i am sure all will b fine
hi i had my 16 week midwife appt last week and she wouldnt look for the heartbeat, same with my friend who is due the same day and had her appointment a few days later she was told its because its her second and she isnt being seen now till shes 30 weeks, she told me its as im a worrier and that if she struggles to find it as its still quite early it will worry more, i left in tears as she wasnt helpful at all so if you want to hear the heartbeat make sure you push it with them or else she might not do it, i guess im just too much of a push over and i didnt stand my ground

Hi Charlotte,
Try not to worry. I am currently 33 weeks with my first, and didn't feel any movement until around the 20 week mark. Actually, I think it was slightly after because at my scan I still hadn't felt any movement. The only sign I had of pregnancy in the lead up to 20 weeks was that my belly button started to pop out, and I did seem to be getting a gradually bigger bump. Also, I was getting more and more breathless, even with mild exercise. But that was about it. After you start feeling movement, it is a lot more reassuring, as you don't need to wait for your next scan to be sure everything is ok. All the best and good luck for your appointment xxx
Hi Charlotte and flossy 1688 Ive just had my first baby and remember feeling constantly worried that something was wrong between the 12 and 20 week scan - i just couldnt believe that i was going to have a healthy normal pregnancy. I bought a foetal doppler which meant that i could listen to the heartbeat whenever i wanted. It was amazing and really helped to keep me calm until i was feeling the baby move frequently. Most can detect heartbeats from 12 weeks and have a screen monitor so that you can be sure you have picked up the babys heartbeat and not ur own.
Good luck both
