Essential oils during pregnancy?

Hi all after miscarrying twins last May I'm finally pregnant again :-))) Not far along, just 4 +2. I have trouble sleeping anyway and usually use essential oils designed to help relax and sleep. But I'm worried about using them now I'm pregnant. Does anyone know which are safe and which aren't? x

Hi Hayley,

My mum is an aromatherapist and you should def stay clear of all essential oils in the first trimester. There are some oils that are fine and recomended for the rest of pregnancy but seek advice from an aromatherapist (good excuse for a pregnancy massge I think!).
