Sorry I'm waiting too for my date, they did say to me a week, however, because of the bank holiday, it could be two weeks. Think I'll plan on two weeks and if it comes any sooner, I'll be happy!

Im not sure if its the state of the NHS now or the number of pregnancy but ive also being waiting ages for my 1st scan. When i notified my G.P of my pregnancy he gave me the green notes book & booked an appointment for me to see the community midwife. She then gave me my 1st scan appointment for the 1st of May.

Im not sure of it also depends on the area/ district you live in or something.

Is this your 1st pregnancy? If so they usually would give you a sense of 1st priority

But if havent so already try & book an appointment to see your community midwife (usually at your G.P Surgery).

First scans are now between 12 and 14 weeks so that the combined screen for Down's syndrome can be done. Mine was nearer the 14 week mark so try not worry. If you think you've been forgotten about ring up the ante natal clinic to make sure you're in the system

I am 11 weeks and havent had my date scan letter through yet. Only had my midwife app last Wednesday so dont think I will get my letter till the end of this week.

mine took about 2 1/2 weeks, I had the combined screening at 12 +2, but I guess its like anything depends where u live in the country,

my first appt with my midwife was on a Tuesday i then got my appt through for my first scan the following Friday so i waited 10 days.

I had mine on Thursday just gone at 13 wks 4 days the upside to this is i only have to wait 6 weeks till i find out Bean's sex. Also people i show my scan picture to comment on how clear it is, and i cant help thinking its as Bean was that little bit bigger, you can see its fist clench and even its little fingers

I didnt see my midwife till I just turned 12 week & she booked me in at the hospital over the phone and the earliest date they had was 2 weeks!

She said that there are so many pregnant ladies at the moment and so many around 8-14 weeks that they are so so busy!

Call up the docs and ask to speak to the midwife they usually go to the doctors once a week. It worked for me I had my appointment with the midwife next day! :D
