Ahh duppy ur original dates are exactly the same as mines! Sorry I can't help tho, it makes no sense to me either...!
think it all depends on when the egg is fertilized, they told me my dates may change when I have 12 week scan x
Hey Jameson, how cute! When do you think you conceived?! Have you had any scans telling you different?
Hey Babymother, my period tracker says I was was fertile 13-19 Feb and Ovulation happened around 18th.... Now get your head around that! They don't make it easy for us huh! xxx
For conception date ive just been goin by date of last period plus 2 weeks so that wud b around 28th. At todays scan the baby was measuring 7 weeks and 4 days and I would have reckoned that I was 8 weeks exactly, but hey ho, the nurse said its normal for it not to all tally up exactly
I always get confused about this because apprently most doctors, nurses, & i guess midwifes calculate your gestation of pregnancy by the 1st day of your last period & add 14days to it.
MAJOR CONFUSING! I KNOW
But then if the sonographer has confirmed the gestation by a scan then that means it should be the most accurate. I dont know.
I cant wait to have my scan im just so anxious now i dont know what to do.
I was the same when i had an early scan.i thought i was 9w5days but they said 7weeks 5days.i actually thought that baby wasnt growing, but next scan at 8weeks5days and 12weeks scan was ok.maybe you having a big baby?dont worry.as long as baby is ok ...you dont need any more stress and i'm sure everything is ok xx
I thought they took your conception date and add 14 days, as that's when you're most likely to concieve, this should then be you LMP?? Argh!
Your scan will be here before you know it sweetie! Or just go to EPU and demand one

I thought I was due on the 30th September but when I had my 12 week scan they moved it forward and it is now the 26th September. When you have your scan they measure the baby and gauge the due date on that. Don't worry. I am sure that everything is absolutely fine!
The DD of 14-11 is worked out by assuming conception occurs 14 days after your LMP but not every woman ovulates at the same time, if you ovulated a few days earlier than the average woman then your DD is the 08-11. Babies rarely arrive on time anyway so don't get too set on a specific DD, however the date that's in your notes will be what you use to start your maternity leave, so it is important to a certain degree. The date they give you at your 12 week scan is the most accurate as all babies grow at the same rate in the first trimester.
This has really confused me, the first day of my last period was the 19 Feb, and I have calculated I am 6 weeks 3 days based on the first day of my LMP is this correct?
I can only imagine that you ovulate early, you know when your period was so don't worry about it too much, the dates are based on your babies growth and you will be re-dated at 12 weeks which is your 'official' dating scan. I couldn't be dated accurately as bubba wanted to sit upright and face on so I had a 15 week scan and was dated then and the dates fitted exactly with my 'known' LMP & Ovulation (EDD calculators assume you ovulate day 14 whereas I am 9/10 as i have used Ovulation tests in past as i can hsve a 23-25 day cycle, again shorter then many so it naturally brought my EDD forwards)
Before your scans your EDD is basically 40 weeks from 1st day of last LMP as most women don't know when they ovulate or when they concieve and then then fertilised egg has to journey from tube to womb which is epic for something so small and I presume this will also vary between women a wee bit too.
Don't sweat it too much & concentrate on looking forward to your next scan when hopefull y all will become clear xx
