If for whatever reasons you are led to organize a csection, at how many weeks is this normally performed?
Had conflicting ideas. How long before your edd is it suggested/ the norm?

Pretty sure Its is a week or 2 b4 due date.
I had always thought it was 2 weeks but know 2 people who have planned 1s about a year apart and they both went just 1 week b4 .
1 was medical reasons 4 Mum - 1st baby , the other because she had emergency section 1st time and baby was in same position as 1st 1 was .
I had emergency 1st time and just found out I'm pregnant , pretty sure I will go in for planned section.
Thanks jds, appreciate that. I thought it odd to hear suggestion of having an elective csection on your actual edd!! As surely whole point is by having it before to avoid emergency situations and minimize medical implications?!
Hi my first ended up has an emergency c section due to complications when i had my 2nd i had planned section at 39weeks and i am currently 23+4 now and i am provisionally booked in for section again at 39 weeks unless baby decides to make an appearance before that. A friend had a planned section at just over 37 weeks but that was due to not.much water around baby but.she was told Thursday and had the section Monday. I know it use to be 38 weeks but i think generally 39 weeks from what i have heard but maybe that is just in my area.
