Hi all - I’ve just found out this week I’m pregnant and I have an app that says 7 weeks today however the nhs site you put your date of last period in shows different as it goes on your average cycle. (I checked this on another app I have called period tracker) What dates do I use? Only I want to get an early scan done as I’m very anxious and nervous as this is my first. I’m also overweight which really worries me.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Congratulations, I use a period tracker called Flo and it gives me very strange dates for pregnancy so I go by the nhs website as that's what your pregnancy care will be based on.
I would go by the nhs one as that is what they will base all your appointments on, when you go for your dating scan at 12 weeks they may change your dates, they did for me I went to my dating scan and they shifted my due date back a week. How far along are you in the nhs website?
Congratulations, I went by the NHS guide but my dates were changed by 2 weeks at my first scan and had to have a second one as it was too early for any checks. I am also overweight. I felt quite sick through my first trimester and I found I didn't like many of the foods I used to love. I couldn't eat anything fried, I couldn't eat bacon or sausages or chocolate. I didn't put any weight on in my pregnancy. I found I'd lost weight after my daughter was born. Everyone is different, my maternity unit had a group for mums who had higher bmi's to help us make healthier choices. Might be worth asking your midwife or Dr.
