I am so scared!!!
You're doctor should only be prescribing medications which are safe for you and your baby, and which take into account your individual circumstances.
I prefer not to take paracetamol during pregnancy, and only caved in my first pregnancy when I was in labour and nearly ready to head to the hospital. But that's my personal choice, and the only serious pain I really had to deal with was occasional bad headaches, which drinking fluids and a good sleep usually fixes anyway (for me!).
And I have recently been advised to take low doses of aspirin during the final stage of my current pregnancy. All the research available through the NHS which my husband and I have read suggests that this is safe during pregnancy, so I'm quite happy to take the aspirin at advised doses, and for advised duration.
But again, I stress that I am happy to take this medication because I understand how and why it will help in my individual circumstances. And what has helped or hindered in my circumstances or anyone else's might not be applicable to your circumstances. If you are unsure or are at all concerned, phone your doctor to discuss further.
Hope this helps

Hi huni if your doctor has prescribed it then it's safe. I took codeine with my first in-between 7-9 weeks which the hospital gave me as I had terrible stomach pain. My daughter was born healthy at 41 weeks. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant now and I take paracetemol when I get head aches or back Ache. Paracetemol is perfectly safe as long as you stick to the correct dose. Hope this helps x
Okay. Thanks dear.
