Hello, I am currently in week 3 of postpartum and I would like to try breastfeeding again. What are peoples thoughts on this, is it a good idea and would it be best to carry on formula feeding as well as introducing breastfeeding?

Hi! Congratulations.Firstly it's entirely possible to start breastfeeding at this point. You will need to work on upping your supply though so I would continue with formula until you can express enough. I'd also change to paced bottle feeding as it replicates breastfeeding more accurately. I'll add a picture to help you with that one.

I'd also work with an ibclc if possible to get the best and most up to date advice. Youll need to work on latch because its slightly different then bottle, and theyll be lots of fussing while baby encourages your supply. But try not to doubt yourself. Following some on Facebook or Instagram can be helpful too. Lucy Webber has some great information on her socials.

You can totally do this!

Information about paced bottle feeding.
