Reducing miscarriage risk

Hello,

what are some great tips and resources on how to reduce miscarriage risk (high in my case, with twins, reduced from 3, age 47, etc)?

Looking for everything and anything from: “keep your feet up” or” walk x steps per day” to “consider discussing x procedure with your dr”.

so far, here is what I gathered:

1- there is not much you can control

2- anti spasmodic meds are good esp. after a reduction in embryos to avoid contractions

3- no vigorous anything, from exercise to chores

4- low stress, healthy eating, prenatal vitamins, rest, some walking to keep blood flowing, drink lots of water, sleep on your side (left preferably)

Anything else I missed?

Or more specific?

thank you!

Hello, I was prescribed progesterone and aspirin as well, but only until end of first trimester. I was told to stop after that. When did you stop?

And what about physical activity? I keep getting told to stop and put my feet up but I just don’t see how I can do that honestly. I do rest when I can and try to take a nap during the day but for the rest of the day, I am out and about, cooking, putting dishes in the washer etc. It is mainly the standing up and the bending down that get me a bit worried.

How about baths?

I stopped progesterone and aspirin till 16 weeks.

I never have baths so it wasn’t an issue I have showers instead.

I walked every day as I had gestational diabetes and it helped to get my sugar levels down.

Hope that helps.
