16 week check - what happens?

We've our 16 week check at the end of the month with our local midwife & I was wondering what kinda checks will be carried out?

Will they listen to our babys heart beat?

I've forgotton from having my daughter a few years back!

From what I remember (just over a year since having baby). it's a urine test, blood pressure and doppler listen to babies heart.

Is it a face-to-face appointment? My 16 week appointment was over the phone, I don’t know if that’s because it’s my second pregnancy or just what they’re doing in my particular heath board but all she did was go through my blood results from my scan. My first face-to-face appointment wasn’t until 24 weeks.

On my first I definitely remember them doing the Doppler though to listen to the heart beat and the usual blood pressure and urine sample test.

my lb is 6 weeks old today. At our 16 week appt they didn't listen to heart beat but did at every one after. It was urine and blood pressure, quick chat. I think we were done within about 10 minutes.
