Bleeding after sex in first trimester-is it okay to go again?

Hi all, last night I had a light bleed when we started to have sex. It went away after I wiped and nothing since.

I can’t get to an appointment at my doctors for another four days so my question is, is it okay to have sex again or do I need to put myself on pelvic rest?

I’m 9+2

Thanks all

I’m not a medical expert but my understanding is it is completely normal. So many blood vessels in that area and sex can aggravate them. You only need to be concerned if bleeding continues and soaks through a pad in less than an hour. X

I don't think anyone can really tell you on here whether it's safe, for everyone who has had a bleed and been fine you'll find someone else whose bleed was an indication of a miscarriage. I've experienced both, one time it was a miscarriage and one time no reason for the bleed and everything was fine. Hope you get some answers are your check up.

As Seb9 mentioned, everyone's body is different. I would try and contact your hospital's early pregnancy unit to get checked out, which should be sooner than waiting on a GP appointment.Hope you get some answers
