Hi, I hope all is well. After having 2 miscarriages at 8 weeks I'm finally 18 weeks pregnant. At 17 weeks pregnant I started feeling some flutters and it got more consistent by 18 weeks, I'm currently 18 weeks and 4 days and for the past 2 days I haven't been feeling much movement. I know when baby is this small the fetal movement can be inconsistent but I would like some reassurance just to put my mind at ease.
Have a lovely day all💞

Hey, I'm 18+5 and don't get it everyday, just because you don't feel it, doesn't mean that babe isn't having a party inside, I've got a right wriggler on scans xx
If you have any doubts ring MAU, don’t sit and do nothing because you are worried about being silly or wasting peoples time. I’m sure it will be fine, but it never hurts to check and they are so nice and understanding. I had a MMC and was very anxious in my following pregnancy and ended up in MAU a couple of times, all wa fine and now I have a 10wk old baby. I do agree with the other comment re it’s early (I didn’t feel anything until after 20wk scan), but you know what is normal for you. Get checked and reassure yourself everything is fine x
It sounds like you have felt some movement so that for one is a positive sign.
I agree that the early days are inconsistent but you should start feeling movements more and more overall. Have you tried the sugary drink and lying down trick? When I thought I had reduced movements when I was about 27 weeks, I was advised to do this before coming into the MAU. Sometimes, we may miss movements because we are busy. From experience my baby had some quiet days and some more active days in the late 2nd and 3rd trimester. She was overall very active.
Your midwife and MAU can also reassure you if you are really worried .
Congratulations on your pregnancy! The position of your placenta and baby has a major impact on if, when and how much you feel baby. I had an anterior placenta and when attending 20 week scan was asked if I felt kicked to bits as our little one was practicing for the champions league in there but I couldn't feel a thing because of both placenta and baby's position.
I agree with others that once you're further along and have felt regular, noticeable movement then if you have reduced movement at all it's always safer to ring triage to get checked. You'll be bombarded (in a good way) with that advice from midwives moving forward was my experience anyway.
