Worrying

I found out a few weeks ago I’m pregnant with baby number two. The clear blue said 2-3weeks. So I’m guessing I’m around 4-5 weeks now. As this was few weeks ago I done the clear blue. Any tips on how to stop worrying I’m constantly checking the tissue when I wipe and constantly thinking something will go wrong? Has anyone else had thoughts like this. Seems so far away till first scan

Hey lovely,

The clearblue test is weeks since conception rather than how many weeks pregnant so 2-3 weeks means 4-5 weeks pregnant. So if you did the test two weeks ago, you would be more like 6-7 weeks now.

If you’re really worried, you could book a private scan, normally around 7 weeks you would see a heartbeat xx

Oh really I never knew that. So i may be further along then I think? Yeah I was gonna book a private scan but welcome to the womb only do early scans via internal ultrasound and I’ve never had one of them so a bit worried lol. X

I went for an early scan about 7 weeks and they were able to use the external ultrasound. However they did say if they were unable to they would use the internal. I’ve had an internal scan before to check for issues, period related and although I was very nervous it was actually okay. It’s a very thin stick which they pop inside you and look around. It’s not painful or even uncomfortable.

I’m in exactly the same situation, around 8 weeks with second baby, my little boy is 18 months old. The paranoia feels stronger than when I was pregnant with him and it feels like everything is taking longer. Midwife booking appointment not for another 2 weeks and have thought about an early scan which is something I never did with first, but think I’m just going to ride it out. Sounds like we could be due around the same time. Happy to share experiences! I was 16 weeks with first when Covid struck so was difficult to meet any other mums at same stage. Good luck with your pregnancy x

Awh same this is my second pregnancy. I have a 3 year old little boy already. I’m always worrying. Wish i could stop worrying and I could just enjoy it but I think I’m gonna book a early scan just to put my mind at ease. When do you think ur be due roughly? Xx

I’ve worked it out to around 12th September based on last period and I was ovulation testing too. How about you?
