I am 10 weeks pregnant and got made redundant last week. I know legally You don’t have to tell new employers your pregnant but i wouldn’t feel right not. Has anyone any experiance with finding work whilst pregnant.

When I wanted to get a new job and I was pregnant, I contacted an agency who were looking for temp workers for an office, I told them I was pregnant and when I could work until.I had an interview with the women I would work for they were both mums and very supportive, they even offered me a de-caf coffee during my interview.

I worked for them until 2 weeks before my due date. I qualified for maternity allowance but not SMP and had to apply for that quote quickly as soon as I was eligible because they were quite behind in processing claims.

If you've been made redundant after your current compact round it you were pregnant I would also contact pregnant then screwed and see if you're company have made your redundant legally.
