Brown discharge at 6 weeks

I’m 6 weeks 5 days pregnant and this is day 2 of a little brown discharge only when I wipe. I’ve also had very mild cramping here and there. First pregnancy so I’m slightly freaking out. Any suggestions?

Hi lovely, I had this happen twice and things were fine. First time was the night before my BFP and the second time was a couple of days before my viability scan. I had the cramping too and completely ruled myself out but all was fine at the scan.Like you it was mainly when I wiped. I can’t remember which way round but one of the times it was a lighter brown and the next it was darker. Lasted around a week I think. If the cramping gets bad through I would ring and see what the hospital say just for peace of mind xx

Cramping is fairly normal and the spotting could just be implantation, the GP won't really do anything for you at this stage, they'll refer you to the midwife and they'll normal see our speak to you around 8 to 10 weeks.

You only really need to contact anyone if you're having very bad cramps that don't ease or that are accompanied by heavy bleeding or pain in your shoulder tip.

I had this and all was fine. I actually had bleeding several times throughout the 1st trimester.

I think it could be implantation bleeding or a slight detachment of the placenta( happened to me and usually clears on it’s own). My advice is just rest a lot until your next OBgyn appointment. They may put you on progesterone
