Hey girls, help me out with morning sickness. Am 8/9 weeks into my pregnancy and I haven’t been sick yet but I have felt sick ALL DAY LONG for the past 2 weeks.

It’s stopping me wanting to eat, find it hard with smell of hot foods and only seem to copy with just drinking iced water and breakfast bars but I know this isn’t enough 😩

Oh no, the tortuous morning sickness. It is the worse. It is horrible and we all know what you're going through.

There are so many posts on here about how awful morning sickness is, and my first post here was about how awful my morning sickness was.

Don't feel bad about eating badly. Fruits, veggies and anything good for me went out of the window for those first 8 weeks. I would eat a pack of quavers and plain cheese sandwich on white bread and that's it.

Whatever Dr Google suggested didn't make it better and you have to just get through it and know it gets better. I'm now at 14 weeks and the sickness is really mild and manageable. I'm getting back to my usual diet, sort of.

Maybe hold out a bit longer or see your midwife if it doesn't improve after 12 weeks

Hey, oh I remember these sick days o too well. It’s not nice but you’ll get through it before you know it. What kind of helped me ease the feeling sick was ginger biscuits and ginger tea (but after a while that even made me feel rubbish) and also ginger beer helped. Just make sure you don’t let your self get too hungry because I feel like that used to trigger my sickness too! My sickness literally stopped 3 months on the dot!

Hope this helps!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy:) Strong nausea from 8 weeks is very common, and it is a very good sign, it means your baby is very healthy! I had the same issue (strong nausea all day, especially in the evening). Try to eat small amount of food during the day, avoid citrus, spicy food. Try to have your pregnancy vitamins with food and not after, I realised that it could exacerbate the nausea. Drink plenty of water, a small amount of milk from time to time, yoghurt (it soothes the stomach), plain cheese (hard cheese) sandwiches and get a lot of rest (it helped me to have several naps in a day). My nurse also told me that salad with nuts could help. You might lose weight (that was my case, because of the nausea) so keep an eye on your weight (weight gain starts at 14 weeks approximately) It is a small phase, then you will be better off after 12 weeks (though for some women it is not the case, but you can feel that your appetite is coming back).
