I’ve got to the toilet this morning and had like brown clumps in my wee, it looks like protein but there was loads. I’m 12 weeks, not had my dating scan yet and a few back I fell down the stairs but no one checked baby etc (I was told I was fat enough to take the hit…🙄)
Should I be worried?
update - i called my gp who told me to go to my midwife, i was like im 12 weeks 🤦🏼♀️ so i might have to call 111

I wouldn't be too worried as I don't think you can tell from looking that there's protein in your urine. You would have to have a dip test to confirm if protein is present and normally this wouldn't happen in early stages of pregnancy. Darker urine normally means your dehydrated and during pregnancy you do need a lot more water as your body is doing a lot so maybe try having some extra fluid and see if your urine goes back to normal.
I'd phone your midwife and leave a message for her to call you and see what she says, if you've already had your booking in appointment with them, you should have a number to call in a non urgent enquiries on the front of your pregnancy notes.
Have you had your booking in appointment with your midwife yet? I've never heard of them not seeing you just because you're under 20 weeks. Perhaps if they think it might be more of a urine infection or something rather than pregnancy related then your GP could probably deal with that. Why not call to book a GP appointment for a urine or kidney infection instead of a pregnancy query and see what they say.
Oh you poor thing! It must be down to individual trusts as my GP wouldn't see me as I was under the care of the midwives
Pregnancy concerns you need to ring your epu at hospital if in the uk for early pregnancy issues like cramping and bleeding. I don’t know what you mean by protein chunks in your wee I’ve never heard of that protein is usually tested with these coloured test strips. Do u have your date for your scan?
