i was supposed to start my period friday august 6th and it didn’t come till the 8th but it wasn’t a lot i took a shower and i still haven’t had enough blood on my pad and i’m confused because why would my period be late but i took a test on the 7th and it said negative….. i have an obgyn appointment on the 17th. but i can’t explain why my period is looking and doing like this because i’ve always had regular periods 5 days tops and ever since my ovulation i’ve been feeling off and i don’t know i been on google (my worst enemy i think i’m dying every time i search something) i just want someone’s opinion. please.

Hey, most likely nothing to worry about. If you were pregnant it would probably show as a positive test by now, so it’s unlikely. You could take another test in a few days to be sure though. Your period could be late/ lighter than usual for a whole load of different reasons. I think the main causes are stress, diet/ exercise changes, medication changes, lack of sleep etc. I usually have a regular cycle but occasionally I will be a few days late and have lots of spotting at the start, nothing heavy. Just keep a note of what happens over the next few days so you can tell your obgyn everything. I really wouldn’t worry though x
it’s just different for me cause im not use to missing two full days maybe one day but never two and im not going to lie im a hypochondriac plus my anxiety makes it worse. my mother and boyfriend tell me i’m not dying 😂😂 when i say i am, i have been under a lot of stress because of work and other stuff and my sleep schedule is out of wack i had an obgyn couple months ago i’m sure if something else was wrong they would’ve told me or they weren’t looking/feeling hard enough i just have to wait it out but i appreciate the help so much!
