Heterotrophic pregnancy or cyst

I went into hospital on Thursday night with extremely bad pains in my lower left side and across the bottom of my back, had an ultrasound and I have a viable pregnancy at 5w 4days and they think I have either an ectopic one too or a cyst in my left ovary, I have another scan next Friday so will know more then, but I’m worried it will cause me to lose the viable pregnancy, has anyone ever been through something like this? Any and all advice would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks x

My sister went through something similar. Lots of pain on one side of her abdomen, went to get checked and found out she was pregnant and that there was a big cyst in her ovary which was bleeding. The pregnancy went ahead as normal and she delivered a healthy baby. The cyst continued to be very painful specially during the first months, she was recommended a lot of rest, fluids and occasional walks and eventually it healed on its own. All the best of luck for you!!
