Since starting IVF I have continued to take Folic Acid tablets. I have now been told I should be taking vitamin D. What do people recommend I buy? I am happy to buy some tomorrow.

The ones you can buy in the supermarket are absolutely fine and are all you need. Lots of women choose to take a pregnancy multi vit as they contain both folic acid and vit d as well as other vitamins, but they aren’t necessary and some women find they make them feel sick x

Hiya, I took Pregnacare Conception while we were trying to conceive and that had all the right quantities of the right vitamins so I didn’t have to think about it.

Boots vitamin D and Folic acid (2 tiny pills) worked for me. I tried pregnacare multivitamin later in my pregnancy but it made me feel sick.

What you want is seven seas - Trying for a baby - that is what I took when I did ivf - they have added Vit D with the folic acid .

How much depends on what your level is. The recommended 400IU isn’t enough for a lot of women in the UK. I need to take 4,000IU supplement plus the 400IU in pregnacare as I have fair skin so wear high factor sunscreen. I was on 3,400IU and level came back inadequate so bumped to 4,400. Xx
