Breastfeeding at night

Hello lovely people! Was just wondering if someone could help at all please? Our little one turned 9 months yesterday and we have recently been night weaning naturally. All him really. We had a challenging 8 months with frequent night wakings wanting to be fed 6-8 times but recently he has been more settled and is only waking once during the night for a feed. Up until 3 nights ago the feeding lasted no more than 10 minutes and he would fall asleep (without my nipple in his mouth). Since then he is feeding/sucking for over half an hour. Every time I try to finish he complains, arches his back and starts to root. If I put him on my shoulder like I would usually do he does this and if I don’t put him back on the breast he will cry. The only way he will calm down and go back to sleep is if my husband takes over. Does anyone have any advice or experience of this at all please. I thought we were getting to the point where he is able to sleep through but BAM!! Another curve ball 🙂

TIA

Hello Roxannacar! Not sure he is teething as he isn’tshowing signs at the moment but could be early signs I suppose. If anything it could be some kind of leap even though he is not due one at the Nike tabs he has just worked out how to stand in his cot after pulling himself up on everything else during the day!
