Don't feel like baby is growing inside
You won't feel baby growing in you at least till about 20 plus weeks pregnant. At this stage you might not have any symptoms at all except a positive test and a missed period. If you've tested at a different time of day, your test might be lighter or darker depending on how much hcg is in your wee.
If you've not had any bleeding or cramps which are common signs of a miscarriage, there's really not much you can do at this stage except wait for your midwife appointments and scans at 12 weeks. Or if you want you can book a private scan earlier to see if everything is OK.
My belly was like mush until 25 weeks, I only just now feel pregnant, baby is literally the size of a pomegranate seed at the moment so won’t be very big or making many structural changes yet, you’ve got time, stay calm and positive and take everyday as it comes x
Sometimes symptoms do come and go. Your uterus which is where your baby is inside your tummy doesn’t even rise above your pubic bone until you are 12 weeks (3 months) pregnant, so there is no way that you can feel/see growth before then. Bloating is extremely common in early pregnancy which is much more likely to be why your tummy feels bigger but this can come and go too. It might be worth buying a test which says “pregnant/not pregnant” rather than with the lines because sometimes different tests can show the results differently with lines. A second line, no matter how dark, indicates pregnancy. If you have severe pain or bleeding then you should see your GP or go to A&E depending on how bad. Otherwise please try not to worry.. this early bit is hard because you do not yet see or feel the baby but it’s good to try and find things to keep yourself busy xx
I'm pregnant at 7 weeks but don't feel nausea just lazy tired and very sore boobs. I'm worried not feeling nausea means miscarriage. What's your experience? Xx
Well my personal experience was I felt like crap 😂 but the days I felt better I then panicked and thought the worst! But in work I’d say I see at least as many people without nausea at 7 weeks than I do with nausea, and that tiredness and sore boobs seem to be the most common symptoms, and feeling fine isn’t a reason to be worried. I also see many people who feel really sick for one pregnancy then feel absolutely fine in another one. But I didn’t realize until I was pregnant myself how much you overthink everything in early pregnancy. It’s hard not to x
I didn’t have any symptoms other than tiredness with my pregnancy until the pelvic pain and heartburn started towards the end of the second trimester.. I was pregnant with twins as well and carried them to my planned section at 37+2. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry and stop taking tests! It’s only going to stress you out more! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx
You certainly won't feel anything in your tummy in the very first weeks - some women don't feel anythign at all even in their breasts for example. I did call my midwife at abotu 10 weeks because I had one-sidedly decided that "by now I needed to feel a hard ball in my low tummy" and my symptoms had a bit receded and she said, "oh, no, you won't feel your tummy changing for a good while, and symptoms come and go, you cannot use them to mean anything. If you haven't had painful bleeding than most likely everything is okay". I would also suggest to stop testing as you are causing more stress. If you thing something is really wrong in a few weeks you could book a viability scan privately. Best wishes.
