Miscarriage with just the sac growing.

Hi all, I am new here and only recently joined. So I found out I was pregnant with my first child about 3-4 weeks ago. When finding out it’s was amazing news and all the excitement and worry then kicked in. So I started spotting very lightly and only noticing when I wiped. I contacted the doctors who was brilliant and then got me in for an early scan. From my last period I was meant to be 8 weeks, when I got to the scan I then found out I was only 4-5 weeks and needed to come back in two weeks for a rescan ( being to early couldn’t see much). I also found out I have polycystic ovaries on the right hand side more. They was okay about the spotting and said if it gets any heavier then contact them. So two weeks have gone by and I have been spotting on and off and had my scan yesterday. When having the scan yesterday my whole world had crushed down in one, so she highly warmed me i am having a threatened MMC I think she put down. She said basically the sac has grown and I am about 6 weeks but the sac is empty. I haven been up and down in emotions and can’t get around just the sac and it growing o it own . I have to back back in a weeks time to confirm and go from there. I haven’t had clots or load of blood or cramps so I think they will have to remove my sac which I am so scared. Has anyone else experienced this situation and been able to have a healthy pregnancy after. Also how long did it take to get back to normal and start for another baby. My partner has been amazing which has been helpful and I am a very lucky girl there. Would love to hear other peoples story’s. Thank you for taking the time to read ❤️

Yes I’ve had 2 blighted ovum’s where the pregnancy continues but nothing is growing inside the sac I was 12w after being told I mc days later with the first the 2nd went on for week bleeding starting and stopping in the end I had a mva a manual vacuum aspiration it’s like a d&c but less invasive and your awake but honestly wasn’t as bad as what they described tho sounds awful. I’ve had in total 3 mmc at 12w and 2 chemicals I have 2 children already and I’m 16w pregnant again at 40. Usually mc is a one off and your next pregnancy will be fine and healthy. I’m sorry for your loss it’s not an easy time emotionally take care x

Omg I can only image how you felt 😩, am blessed you have two healthy children already 🙏🏻🙌🏻❤️ Ooo it’s really nice to hear someone’s opinion on the next procedure and wasn’t as bad as it seems. Wow that’s amazing news a big congratulations on your pregnancy. And that’s good to hear for next time round. Positivity, strength, and hope is on my cards. I had something similar at the end of October. Had spotting at 8 weeks, had a scan and saw the heartbeat but they said it was a little small. Went back 2 weeks later and the baby had disappeared and only the sac remained.

Had medical management miscarriage with tablets.

First period was 6 weeks after the tablets. Nothing else to report yet.

Look after yourself. I didn’t realise how common it was until it happened.

Apparently you should be more fertile and have a higher chance of a pregnancy in the three months following, if you’re ready to try again. X

Omg I am so sorry for your loss. that must of been so upsetting to know you saw your little jelly bean to discover they have gone 😥. sending lots of love and blessing your way. Oooo so your period come back not to long after which is nice to know. and I know this is a common miscarriage now. I still can’t get my head around The sac still continues to grow with no baby 😩 Mother Nature does some crazy things sometimes.

Oh really that’s really good to know your more fertile after for 3 months.

I am so sorry. But just because this has happened this time does not mean it will happen again. I had 2 miscarriages before conceiving son #1. And then I had another miscarriage before conceiving son #2. Both are healthy 5 and 1 year olds. You never really get over a loss but time is a great healer. I like to think that my two lovely boys are the two I'm supposed to have but they just had a little trouble getting to me. I hope you get your little one in your arms soon!

So sorry about your other losses. it is really hard isn’t it and does take time to heal. you’re so right about your other healthy baby boys being here. Such blessings and little miracles 🙏🏻🙌🏻❤️ your body can do some extraordinary things when things are not meant to be and your not physically ready. but there is a lot of hope and faith and reading your story can prove it.
