Hi

I'm asking for a bit of advice relating to my daughter. She vomits all the time, and I can't understand why. She doesn't overeat all that makes the vomiting worse is when she has something very fluid like. She is a happy enough little one but seems to be constantly sicking up little bits of food, sometimes quite a lot. Its almost like before she is sick she seems agitated and frustrated???

Does anyone elses little one do this?

Haven't experienced this, but it does sound like you need to have a trip to your Gp see whats going on x

Hi there, I agree with previous post, a trip to the GP sounds the most sensible thing. Get her checked over.

I'd call the HV as well for advice. Maybe it's something in her diet not quite agreeing with her? Can you swap cows milk or bread out to see if it makes a difference?

This from me probably won't make total sense as my eldest is 45, but she vomited constantly. The midwife wasn't that worried as somehow her weight was fine. We tried every milk availably, not like today, with different brands, but national dried milk that we were supplied with, evaporated milk, anything milk related. I had this beautiful baby with a nappy tied round her neck who just stank! I was so upset and worried. Eventually the midwife suggested half cream national dried that they gave to premature babies as not so

much fat. It almost stopped the sickness and at 9 months it stopped all together, and I was able to give her solids and she drank everything. No one followed up, it was basically she as stopped so all is well.

She has never enjoyed milk, and at the ripe old age of 45, we spoke about it a few weeks ago. She, even now will only drink 'red milk', unskimmed. It occurred to us that maybe she was lactose intolerant. I don't know if this helps you, but I know what an awful time I had. It might be worth checking that out. Sorry this has been so long, but you may need to ask your granny about National Dried.

This could be a number of things - has she always been like this even pre food? Has it got worse or stayed the same? Have you tried cutting anything out her diet to see if it makes a difference? Have you tried keeping her upright for longer after feeds? Was she worse or better on formula versus cows milk? She could have an allergy or intolerance such as cow’s milk protein or lactose. She may have reflux. She may have too much too quickly? I think you should ring your duty HV line xxx
