I had my first scan today and baby went camera shy and they could do full measurements they have guessed I’m 13 weeks but they wasn’t able to do the tests shows that it has to be done before 14 weeks and they have booked me in for a new scan in 2 weeks times can I request an early scan so I can have the tests?

Thank you

Hi!

I would definitely call ASAP and explain the situation and see if you can get an earlier appointment.

My first scan appointment was arranged for 14 weeks exactly and I was worried that I would miss my chance to get the tests if baby was shy or I was further along than I thought. Unfortunately, even when I called they said they were fully booked and that was the earliest appointment they had. However, they did say that I could try and call regularly to see if there's any cancellations - which I did and luckily got an earlier slot. I would try this if I were you.

The alternative is to go private.

Good luck! I hope baby behaves next time :)
