Does anyone have any idea if the birthing partner is allowed in whilst they are below 4cm dialated yet I’m outraged that pubs have opened but I have isolated with my partner for 3 months and I have to sit on the other side of the door then I a can go in what point does that make ???

My local hospital has started to ease restrictions so your birthing partner can stay for 6 hours post birth instead of 2 but at the moment they still aren’t allowed in until established labour. Probably worth calling your maternity hospital to check xx

I think it depends on the hospital each seems to have their own rules from what I’ve read.

I too share your frustration my husband didn’t get to attend the scan (our first child together) and he was gutted. I am terrified about the birth and being alone before and after we are looking at alternatives now because there is no way he’s going to be excluded.

Good luck :)

From what I can gather it varies hospital to hospital xx

I think it varies with hospital though I would say ideally (even before covid) you wait till established labour to go to hospital. It helps you stay relaxed and keeps labour progressing when you get there.

Yes our hospital not allowing partners until final part apparently.

1st baby after numerous rounds of IVF, classed as extremely high risks due to my health so feeling extremely anxious. He's not been allowed to any appointments either.

I'm hoping to book a private scan in a fortnight when I'm 31 weeks as they are allowed to those.

Good luck xx

I know a couple that had to labour completely on her own until she was pushing. It was disgusting xxxx I hope it changes soon as things get better. If your early in your pregnancy then it may be all lifted by the time your due. Good luck hun I hope your partner is allowed in xxx
