12 week scan - am I worrying for no reason?

Hello,

I have my 12 week scan on Friday! I’ll be 12 +5 days. I’ve had x2 private scans so far (because I’m anxiety riddled). I had one at 6 +2 days and 10 +4 days. All was ok!

Although I know everything should be ok, I can’t help but worry something has happened in between those couple of weeks 😬

Is it normal to worry this much? 😂

Thanks xx

You sound just like me! I’m full of worry ahead of our 20 week scan next Friday x

I think it goes with the territory. Its totally normal. I had extra scans because of gestational diabetes and I was scared everytime. Good luck xx

Completely normal! I had a panic attack at home on the morning of mine. I think not being able to have someone in with you doesnt help. Best of luck xx

Hi, I don't think you should worry so much, if it's meant to be it will be. Also the stress/anxiety your feeling baby can feel too and this is more likely to cause a problem so if possible just wait for your scans and don't overthink things x

I was so stressed out even though I had private scans too! Then it took 2 hours cause I have a lazy baby that wouldn’t move into place!

That stressed me out so much that I’ve booked a private 16 week one because I cannot wait another 8 weeks 🙈.

It’s natural! Every time I’ve been hospital I go into sheer panic mode! Good luck, lots of water and maybe a choccy bar beforehand xx

It's easier said than done, but that amount of anxiety is not healthy for you and baby. I am 40 weeks and waiting patiently to go into labour. My one regret is that I have been so anxious I have not enjoyed my pregnancy, yet i have had one of the best pregnancies you can ask for. Please try to remain calm. talk it through with your midwife and perhaps a doctor, there is support out there.

I really do know how you feel though.
