Are people going to lots of different places to receive maternity care?

So far I’ve been to one hospital for an early scan, another hospital for blood tests, weight etc and now I got to go to another hospital for my 12 week scan. These are all NHS hospitals.

Is this normal!?

I thought that I would be assigned one midwife and I am finding it stressful as every hospital has different procedures and are doing things in a different way.

Yes even before covid I had my midwife appointment at my gp surgery, bloods at the maternity unit, first scan at a proper hospital maternity unit, then scans at my local unit, gestational diabetes test at local maternity unit, then scans in the xray department of hospital, diabetes clinic at the hospital, lots of different places. I went all over the place so yes, very normal xx
