Hi i have no great words of wisdom here other than right now RELAX! Yes easier said than done but this can be normal, its happened to me and i panicked like mad. Its good you've been referred quickly for a scan, this is important so they can see what's going on. Right now rest don't over do it till you've spoken to the doctors. And most of all good luck x

Hello, just posted a reply to something similar. I'm 26 weeks and bled from 6-11 weeks off and on. I went to A&E who booked me in for an early scan which showed I had a bruise caused by implantation which was causing the blood. I know how much worry it can create because you assume bleeding stops in pregnancy but try not to worry too much. Hope everything is ok!

Hiya.i know what you feel Roselee.i've been through hell and i'm only 14weeks.when i was 7weeks i had a laparoscopy done cos they thought it was cornual ectopic.lucky it wasnt but i was at risk of having miscarriage after the operation.after a week

I had a scan which showed that baby moved in the middle of uterus!i was so happy but then when i was 11weeks i woke up bleeding.it was bright pink and there was loads of it like from the tap.i went A&E but they couldnt find a reason.only my white cells level was bit high but they put me on 625mg of Augmentin.i was shocked cos i

had to wait 10hours to be seen and they didnt even do

a scan.i had to wait 4days to hear heartbeat!!!two weeks after that (i was 13weeks) i woke up with brown discharged and again it was like from

the tap.i spent 20min on the toilet till all brown blood was gone.i went A&E but in different hospital as i went abroad for a week.i've been seen straight away and had an internal

scan done which showed everything was fine.the doctor told me brown discharge/blood is old blood that my body had to remove it as it wasnt useful.that was reassuring.i still have a little discharge sometimes but i dont panick now.i had my scan yesterday and baby seems ok and very active.but i had a swab taken today cos that could be an infection now as it looks like brown thrush.do you have a discharge all the time or just went you wipe?has anyone had anything like that?

I did get pain, it wasn't unbearable but I took paracetamol as I was worrying too much with the pain and blood loss. I had brown and red loss.

I thought they dated PG from first day of your last period? How did they leave it with you today if you are being dated as 6 weeks only (presume this is 6 weeks PG with a 4 week Sac/Embryo?) x

Hi there,

Someone posted a similar question, so I've copied and pasted my answer.

I bled at 7 weeks for about 5 days. Sometimes it was heavier, sometimes barely there. Often it was quite clotty and brown, sometimes more red in colour. I couldn't get a scan at the hospital for a week, and that was easily the worst week of my life, not knowing whether my baby was still there or whether I was still going to be a Mum.

Anyway, the baby was there, a tiny bean with a tiny heartbeat, and I'm pleased to say that I am now 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and the rest of the pregnancy has been plain sailing.

My sister is also pregnant and experiences the exact same thing.

I hope everything works out for you.

xx
