Sending love and hugs to all you amazing supportive wonderful people out there. Don't know where I would have been without you all over the past few years ❤️ 💕♥️
Just a quick question... Has anyone been on Sertraline for postnatal depression?
I am desperate to get myself well. I've been struggling so much with postnatal depression and PTSD after infertility diagnosis, fertility treatment, traumatic birth and subsequent complications requiring surgery. All treatment is currently on hold (understandably given the current climate). I have been seeing my GP regularly but this has now stopped due to coronavirus.
I am currently on a very low dose and wonder whether I would benefit from increasing my dose to help my recovery?
Any advice fully appreciated ♥️💕❤️

Iv been on sertraline for the past 5 years even threw out my pregnancy , I can’t live without my they are a god send , I would increase your dose if your still feeling low , I was on 50mg threw out my pregnancy then when my little boy was born I got postnatal depression and I’m now on 150mg and when they started to work I felt so much better , do don’t get me wrong still have days we’re I feel bad but I can cope with it , I would see your gp if you can’t see you could speak to them over phone and get them to do you a prescription , hope you get sorted and feel yourself soon xxx
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. My situation is a little complex.... fertility treatment due to primary infertility, v stressful pregnancy with multiple bleeds and high miscarriage risk, traumatic birth resulting in large postpartum haemorrhage and a poorly healed episiotomy requiring surgery. Diagnosed with PND and PTSD. Given the current climate, all treatment has been put on hold understandably and I think this has spiralled me downhill. I am only on 50mg but I want to do what I can to keep myself going and be well enough to go to work etc.
I’m ok thank you and I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been threw so much but keep smiling and there is light at end of tunnel , I would defo up your dosage tho really hope you start to feel better soon xxx
Thank you so much. I have booked a telephone consultation with my GP on Tuesday but given the way things are I feel guilty for taking up her time. I know i'm not right and getting worse and need some help at the moment. Just so hard to explain to those who haven't been through a similar journey and I hate worrying loved ones. Do you get any side effects from the medication? Especially since increasing dose?
Don’t feel bad that’s what they are there for and you don’t feel yourself you e don’t the right think , and No I didn’t because your body already used to it , Iknow side effects can be bad when you first start them but iv never had any side effects when iv upped my dose and iv upped my dose a few times x x
