Hey girls wanting some advice, I’m 26+6 weeks with my first and I keep getting what fees like period type pain lasting around 5-10 seconds each. This isn’t a lot throughout the day, I’ve looked online and it says braxton hicks. I’m seeing midwife later this morning as well, just wanting to know 💙💙

Possible braxton hicks
Hi Lovely,
You are now creeping into the Third trimester (Final stage -you're nearly there!) which means braxton hicks are very very common and can be uncomfortable. (Midwives will disagree with what the NHS Website says about them being painless) When I was on the ward for pains in my tummy they said 80% of people that come in thinking they are in labour when their not, are experiencing braxton hicks. They can be painful!
But, Midwives will always take extra precautions so I would mention it to the midwife when your seeing them today or- if you don't mention I would advise you speak with your midwife by calling the number in your book. If it is nightime you are worried about pains -Call the emergancy midwife.
Although, It is often that it is nothing. A midwife will always be happy to assess you. You will never be looked down on for getting advice!
Best wishes x
