Are you talking about tax free childcare? If so the government gives you 20% of your fees a month done through the gov.uk website
Why don't you Google it?
If you mean child tax credit it's been replaced by universal credit. Information can be found on the government website.
The childcare element pays up to 70% of childcare costs. Usually a couplr has to both work a certain no of hrs ie 24 hrs one can be doing 16hrs. If on illness benefits then only one partner needs to work not the only on the benefits. Single parents can claim too have to work 16g
Hrs weekly
