To be honest it’s not something I would personally risk as you and your baby are more important and if you are doing a lot of manual handling I would probably tell my employer as I was advised not to do any heavy lifting by my IVF clinic and by the midwives. I told my employer I was pregnant very early on as my job is considered high risk. I understand the timing isn’t ideal but you won’t be the first person this has happened to and they can’t discriminate against pregnant women. Can u do another role perhaps on the shop floor? Maybe seek some advice from a union and from your midwife.
Good luck! X
