Hey just a curious question can you have a smear test while pregnant

I don’t think so, if you are due they will usually reschedule for a few months after birth x

No you can't hun, I believe it's down to cervical changes etc. I'm really annoyed because now I've missed mine. Well technically I didn't, had it done in March but the nurse called back a few weeks later telling me they had used an expired kit so the lab refused it, so I'd need to wait until June before I could re book to give the cells a chance to go back 🙄 had it booked for July but had to cancel

Yea I had a letter come through and not long found out I'm expecting again xx

Be careful not to go back too early after birth, they won’t take one until 12 weeks after birth, mine refused as they booked me in 3 days short so I had to go back and I’d towed my 11 week old with me too 🙈

My sister had to wait until she stopped brestfeeding too. Speak to a HV as things in the nhs are changing all the time. Good luck x

Hi unfortunately you can't and baby has to be at least 12 weeks before you can have it done. Mine was 8months late and i was terrified as my previous one was abnormal and i had to have a colposcopy/loop biopsy to have some of my cervix taken. Ive had the all clear now though even if the results did take 8 weeks instead of up to 2weeks.

Hi no you can't, if you tell your doctor they will reschedule it for after your 6 week postnatal check as can't have it till after that date has passed x
