Anyone experienced stabbing pain down below in the last trimester, is it a sign labour is near possibly?! It comes on all of a sudden, last about 5 mins the completely disappears. Anyone’s else had similar? Hoping it’s normal, do have routine midwife tomorrow so will ask them, just like hearing others experiences
Thanks!

Haven't had it myself but I've seen it listed in pregnancy symptoms during the last trimester. Apparently it's known as 'fanny daggers' - don't know if there is a medical term for it!! Apart from the discomfort I don't think you need to worry about it
Honestly I had those pains along with several other symptoms and labor was still not as near. Towards the end you will even feel baby move his/her head.
Definitely worth checking with your midwife, seeing as you have an appointment anyway. I did read somewhere that in the 3rd trimester it can sometimes be a sign of the cervix starting to soften etc. How far along are you?
I had it with my last (of 3) pregnancies. No one tells you about it and it’s rubbish. I had to catch my breath, stop what I was doing and stand still until it had passed. Quite embarrassing at work, when I really didn’t want to explain myself 😊
