LETROZOLE USE

Hi guys I’m new here. I would like to ask anyone whose used letrozole for ovulation. I had my second round of 5mg this time. And I’m late with period. I usually have breast pain and cramps. But I don’t feel anything. I don’t want to have my hopes up cos it’s always a disappointment 😔anyone else feel like this?

Hi! I used Letrizole 5mg too to “boost” ovulation, according to the treatment suggested by my clinic. I had stimulated IUI: although I’ve always been regular with my period (28 days with ovulation on the 14th day),because the previous 3 attempt of natural IUI were not successful my consultant at the clinic suggested this very light hormonal treatment. My ovulation this time didn’t come on time (one week later than expected) but, as I was monitored, the clinic could detect when I was ready to ovulate, gave me an injection of ovitrelle and had IUI the day after.

As both ovitrelle and letrizole stay in your system for up to 10 days and they can give you symptoms similar to pregnancy, I was really not positive this time and when 2 days before my period was due to start (so 2 weeks after iui) I was feeling all the symptoms of a period, I was definitely upset and decide to do the pregnancy test 1 day early to put my mind at rest .. but it came positive !!! Still I couldn’t believe it as sometimes ovitrelle and letrozole can influence the test results at such an early stage, but now I’m 15 weeks pregnant and still can’t believe it!! So, sorry if I haven’t quite answer your question but what I wanted to say, telling you my story, is that you really cannot tell from the symptoms you feel between intercourse/iui and when your period is due. You might feel nothing at all or all the possible pregnancy symptoms as I felt in the previous 3 attempts (and I was really convinced it had worked) but those were not successful!

You said you’re late with your period, did you take a pregnancy test? I would definitely stay positive :-)!
