Universal credit payments

I'm just wondering of the amount I get for universal credit is right? I get 482 a month but before claiming universal credit I worked out I'd be getting over 500 from income support, child tax and child benefit.

I get 20 a week in child benefits which I've added on to universal credit which is why the total is 482

Universal credit is crap! Have you putting anything in your journal?. Surely if you added it up correctly that’s what your entitled too? Have you spoke to anyone about it? they may back date you x

I was originally on income support but got transferred to universal credit, cause child tax credit is now under that. I'm gonna see if I can set a meeting up as the amount just doesnt seem right to me or my family

That does sound about right as statutory maternity pay (when you’re working) is only around £148 a week and I’m guessing UC wouldn’t work out as more than what you’d get if you were working?

Have you checked your statement to make sure you're receiving all the elements you are entitled to?

I get about the same but that doesn't include CB and they're deducting £50 for past over payments.

If you are in receipt of maternity pay or allowance this will be being deducted from your total entitlement.
