Panic attacks and anxiety 38 weeks

Hey folks,

The last week or so I’ve been having trouble sleeping due to what I think is anxiety. I can’t put my finger on what it is. Every time I lay down to sleep I feel like someone is pushing down on my chest so hard that I’m suffocating. Every time I relax I feel like I’m going to stop breathing. I’m so tired and exhausted from having maybe an hour or so sleep each night, some nights I just don’t sleep at all. Has anyone else experienced this and if so do you have any remedies? I need just a little more than an hour sleep! I’m so tired and I just want to cry. I do cry, all the time.

Hi lovely.. I suffered with the exact same thing to the point I thought if I slept I wouldn’t wake up. Have you tried some meditation music or meditation talks. If you type into YouTube meditation for anxiety loads of videos will come up. I would listen and have a great sleep. XX

I’ve given that a try & it seems to make things worse when I relax. During the day if I’m busy I’m ok but when I sit or lay down I just feel like I’m going to stop breathing x

I was going to suggest the same as Destiny121. Meditation has totally helped me. Maybe try it during the day a few times if you can. It takes a bit of practice to relax with meditation but once you do, you really feel the benefit. Good luck.x

Thank you. I might give that a try today and see how I go. X

Everything seems worse at night and that’s when I used to panic. I now start of my day when I can with just 15 mins of breathing deeply and listening to you tube meditation apps, then I listen to sleep meditation when I go to bed. It’s actually the best thing I ever did to get rid of panic attacks.xx
