Missed period

Hi I'm 16 days late on my period and have had negative pregnancy test could I be pregnant or is something else wrong?

the best thing to take another test that is the only way to be sure.... if that comes back negative then you might not be.... when you do a test do it first thing in the morning with your first urine. or go and see your gp and see what they say xx

Hi my urine and blood test came back negative and the I went for a ultrasound and they saw the baby. So would suggest you rather go for an ultrasound to be 100% sure. Test can be wrong it happened to me.

My doctors wont give me one iv tried they wont even blood test me

that sucks.... so your 16 days late negative test and they wont do nothing.... I thought they would at least give you a blood test to see whats going on x

No I asked and they said a blood test is just as good as a home test the results will be the same x

You do get private clinics that give ultrasounds without a doctor's transfer letter. So maybe try one of those if possible.

But please take care of yourself incase you are pregnant. I really hope you get an ultrasound. If I did not go I would not have found out I was pregnant. Take care

Rather than ask for a pregnancy test from your dr say you are worried about missing your period. There are many reasons this could happen. But they need to take notice of you. You may be pregnant, but there could be other reasons too which can be helped. Could be stress, could be signs of other issues. They have a duty of care to see you therefore insist that the receptionist books you an appointment with the dr for investigations into why you may have missed your period.

I don't want to scare you but it could be a sign of fertility issues which, if caught now, could be resolved.

Big hugs and be brave on the phone. Insist that they see you as soon as possible. Xx

Iv spoken to a nurse a my gp practice and she said iv just got to wait and see. I am really upset there making me feel like I'm stupid but iv never ever been this late b4. X

Poor you. This must be so stressful. Can you call again and insist on seeing a dr. Tell them you have pain if you need to just to get their attention. They really should take this seriously. Even if its stress related, this is a long time to go without having your period. Xx

I was over 40 days late once and wasn’t pregnant. No idea why but then my periods just went back to what was normal for me. It was just a random one time xx
