The Harmony Test

Hi, I had the harmony test done on Monday and I’ve been stressing all week about the results. I’ve heard nothing. They told me it could take 3 - 10 working days. Does anyone know if it is a high risk, would they get in touch with me sooner? Or does it not work like that? Any answers would be appreciated! Thank you!

Mine took two weeks (this was two years ago). If its still the same, don't they have to send it to the states for analysis? No way that could be done in 3 days. Give the clinic a call and ask them how long it takes to ease your anxiety x

Thank you for your reply! It’s UK London based. The girl on reception told me they mostly take just a few days most of the time but they have to say up to 10 days just in case! The wait is killing me! Xx

Totally drove us mad waiting too! Think ours took just over a week cause of where the weekend fell. Longest week ever! I always work on the 'no news is good news' principal through my pregnancy. In the end I phoned them pretty constantly til they gave me the (good) results over the phone! Waiting is the worst, but it'll totally be worth it. Good luck lovely!!! Xxxx

It took 6 days for us to get the results last year and that was an everything's low risk result. I think they get in touch as soon as they can either way.

It took exactly 6 days with me too, all low risk too. Didn’t expect it today but it came through this morning. Sooooo relieved. Thanks so much for your response! X

I know its tough, but nothing you can do now will effect the result, so just hope and wait.

We took the harmony test, thinking we'd rather know sooner if the baby had health issues, also we got to know the sex of the baby, which was great.

I pretty sure they don't contact you early, it was scary when the results come in, but remember downs babies are rare, I remember a doctor telling me like even for 49 year olds, 90% don't have downs.

Pregnancy is such a long road, its hard not to get stressed at the amount of things that can go wrong, just try and remember after 10 weeks with hearbeat, you're in the safe zone and the overwhelming percentage is to have a perfectly healthy child.
