I have a virus and I went to boots pharmacy today and asked the pharmacist what I could take I’m 38 weeks pregnant & she said I can take lemsip coughs nd flu medicine and now I’ve took it twice I’m worried as read online other people said no to taking it. I’m scared will anything happen? & should I stop taking it?

I have just had a bad cold and was told only paracetamol. I know lemsip has a decongestant in it but not sure if that’s ok. Maybe check with midwife. I know I even hated taking paracetamol but felt so unwell. Hope you get rid of your bug soon xx

Which Boots did you go to? They shouldn't be advising that! Lemsip has stuff in.for stuffy nose that isn't safe fir pregnancy.
