I want to get pregnant
Hi Anny, one of my friends had the same and couldn't conceive for almost 5 years. She was advised to follow certain diet : no sugar at all or sweets because apparently sugar provokes syndrome. She now has got 2 kids bless them.
I wish I still have her number so I can ask for more details. Good luck X
It’s a low gi diet you should be following like what is recommended to diabetics as people with pcos can be insulin resistant. It’s worth asking your dr to check your insulin levels if you feel this is an issue.
How long have you been trying for? And are you having regular periods?
I had to try for 12 months and I was then referred to a fertility clinic and given clomid. I have managed to get pregnant with that and naturally with irregular periods so don’t give up hope! X
HI Anny5, I strongly recommend that you get a copy of the book by Marilyn Glenville PhD called 'Natural Solutions to PCOS' - this helped me no end. I too had PCOS but with a complete lifestyle change, loss of weight, elimination of certain foods (mainly refined sugar, alcohol, caffeine etc.), I now only have one polycystic ovary. After a long infertility journey, I am now almost 12 weeks pregnant following fertility treatment.
P. S. I also joined Facebook Group for Reversing PCOS by PCOS Nutritionist and this offers a lot of useful info. Good luck.
