Anyone else trying to concieve
Hi Red31xx,
I am also having a similar problem I stopped the pill a little while ago and have yet had no positive pregnancy test's come back. However, My doctor did inform me that there's various factors to conception such as how much sex you're having, the timing of the intercourse and furthermore.
Your not alone trust me.
Thankyou for your reply means a lot I'm just under pressure as I'm 31 and mum says my time is running out as I'm getting older I believe it will happen when it does I know when I'm ovulating as was the week just gone and my period is due in 11 days my 4 year old took about 10 months to conceive
Hi again,
People modern daily still conceive in their 40's so I wouldn't worry about that too much. Just relax and try not to stress. Just have regular sex all the way through your cycle. I can imagine you feel pressured. They say sex every 2-3 days is the best way forward. Sperm can live days so if its their waiting it increases the chances. I'm having the same struggles.
Best of luck!
Four months isn’t long at all, it’s totally normal to take up to a year and 31 is not old, tell your mum to stop putting pressure on you as stress makes it more difficult. More and more babies are being born to ladies over 35 in this country.
Nhs advice is sex every 2-3 days and don’t get hung up on ovulation because you are best to have sperm in your system before ovulation rather than waiting until ovulation time x
Your time is def not running out I am 38 and pregnant with my first at 30w after trying for a long time. I know It’s easy to say relax but try, 4 months isn’t that long and hopefully you will get the bfp you want soon XX
fertility has a drop after 35 so you don't need to worry about your age. I was 35 when i had my first and trying again at 36 (37 in feb) it can take a while for your hormones to regulate after stopping the pill, even if you are ovulating, there are other factors. 4 months isn't long really. You could always see your gp and ask about getting bloods checked to see if everything is normal. Did you conceive easily with your first? Xx
