Hi everyone,

I am now at 7 and a half weeks and have had terrible TERRIBLE nausea for the last 3. Nothing i do eases the feeling. Do you have any remedies i could try, and would you say it is harmful to the baby that ive been living off of apples and toast for 3 weeks?

Also, has anyone here experienced really bad worrying or stress when it comes to the first trimester? I cant help but constantly worry - am i eating right? Woll this harm the baby? Will me sitting this way he harmful? I check my urine each time i wee in case i see blood. I am terribly worried and am so anxious as everything i read leads to miscarriage somehow and its made me paranoid. Any advice that might help? This is my first pregnancy - its all really new to me and having lost my parents i dont have anyone to turn to for advice.

Hi firstly congratulations! I can understand how you feel and I’m not sure anything can ease the anxiety your feeling. I am currently 27 weeks after falling pregnant naturally following failed ivf and naturally mmc. I was anxious right up to 20 weeks, checking for blood when I peed, worrying at every scan. My husband was amazing and the midwife was also great. All I can say is just believe this is your time, drink lots of water, take your folic acid and try and focus on things other than being pregnant (it helps the weeks go by). Now I feel her kick I am much better! I was also sick and yes you can survive on toast and apples! I got travel sickness bands which helped but that was about it, luckily it passes after 10 weeks. Good luck and I wish you a happy healthy pregnancy xxx

Congratulations to you !!

Anxiety and paranoia is horrible and I did exactly the same as you and still do with the urine check tissue paper check. This is my fourth (live) child as I lost twins last year which made me question everything in this pregnancy! I have no appetite or cravings with this little one either and scared I’m not eating enough but midwife said it’s fine baby will take what he or she needs.

For your nausea and sickness you can try ginger biscuits or ginger tea which helps it subside! I’m 29 plus weeks and still paranoid but I just keep myself busy and take each day as a blessing.

I hope you feel better soon xx

I never used to have anxiety about pregnancy I had 2 perfectly healthy super easy pregnancies never thought once about losing a baby. My 3rd and 4th pregnancy have both ended in mc after 12w found at scans. Now it’s hard not to be scared but you have to be strong what will be will be.
