Yes!!! Take him straight away. I hope it’s nithing too serious but they do tell you to monitor your child for 24hrs after a head injury.
When I was a young child I walked in to a wall and passed out. It wasn’t till my school teacher found me and the ambulance arrived that they realised how serious my concussion was. I could have died if I fell asleep they said.
Please let me know how you get on. 💙
Well the out hours gp saw us but she said the child doctors ( forgotten what they called) probably won't see him. But she said that she wanted check his heart rate and blood pressure again cos of his dizziness
Did she give you advice about monitoring him following a head injury? It can be normal to feel a bit dizzy and sick after a bang on the head and not every minor head injury needs to be seen in hospital but you need to be aware of more serious symptoms to look out for that would indicate a need for a more urgent medical review (confusion, problems with vision/balance/speech, altered conscious level ie sleeping more or difficulty waking him).
If he has any of the above you need to call 999. Hope he’s feeling better soon x
Thank you yea the doctor in children's A&E said that nothing worry bout if they haven't been vomiting at least three times then I don't need come to hospital. All I need to do put cold pack on his head and monitor him if he is sick more then three times I could come in straight away. I wish they had told me that over the phone we wouldn't been there for four hours.
Also the told.me what to watch out for they also gave me those head injury leaflets.
Thanks for everyone's help.
