Hi I’m 34 weeks pregnant and found yesterday the baby has too much fluid (34cm) approx. Upon looking what polyhydrmnios mean I saw that it can be cause by birth defects such as clef lip nervous system defects and it can cause complication in labour and all sorts !!! it has got me extremely worried about the health of my baby. I just wanted so reassurance that I’m not the only who has this problem and baby has arrived healthily and safe.

I am nearly 34 weeks and also have mild polyhydrminos. I am just having extra scans to monitor. My midwife told me not to google it as it can cause further anxiety. Are they carrying out further tests or just extra scans?

I had the torch test yesterday, and needing to wait for results, I’m hoping they will monitor it closely and do a few extra scans , I’ll be seeing my midwife on Wednesday next week so I’ll be speaking to her about the next steps, why i Googled it because no one told me or reassured me it’s nothing to worry about so I did not knowing what google will provide me with
