If I feel unwell with being PG I hate it (as it's all new, and the heat is really taking it out of me). If I don't' feel unwell, I don't feel pregnant and I worry...(I am the girl who took 6 pregnancy tests). Have an early scan booked next Saturday (I didnt know I was preggo and was on lots of prescription meds/had been drinking etc.)
so i'm currently faffing about:
1. symptoms; cramps - "omgg baby isn't sticking! Miscarriage! i can't do anything right!" IBS flare up: "omg read somewhere on the internetz that IBS can increase MC risk!"
2. early scan; what if there's no heartbeat or something wrong with the baby
3. no symptoms; why do I feel ok? What is wrong with the baby?!
Gahhhhh how do you just accept this and go with the flow?!

You are only early my dear many women don't get early symptoms at all so I wouldn't worry about that.
As for cramping and ibs that's normal your body is adapting ready for something to get bigger cramping as long as not severe pain is fine. And I have chronic ibs and am currebtly 26 weeks with my 3rd. I've never even heard that ibs increases risk of miscarriages.
It's easily done to think that. I l know Its easier said than done but try to relax and focus on non baby relates things as stress won't do you any good. The chances of getting multiple positives and not being pregnant are that low. If its bothering you that much go to your gp and ask for a blood test to confirm.
its almost hard to believe that something is growing inside you until the baby is big and moving around and you have a big bump! I had a terrible time for the 1st and 2nd trimesters feeling like I had the worst hangover of all time. I had early bleeding & cramps and was back and forth to the hospital for scans a few times especially early on so if you have any concerns I would just go!
I had an early scan at 6.5 weeks and saw a tiny flickering heartbeat which helped make things feel more "real" but honestly it was the same for me with all the worries and anxiety.
I got pregnant on my honeymoon so LOTS of drinking and smoking in the very early weeks until I found out (at around 5 weeks) and obviously I stopped all of that immediately. I have an amazingly clever and gorgeous 1 year old now so I as long as you aren't partying and all that NOW it'll be fine.
Basically pregnancy is a rollercoaster of emotions and hormones.
Things that helped me:
1.Downloading the Ovia pregnancy app so I could see how big baby was every week and updates and tips. Very informative and fun!
2. Keeping hydrated. A glass of cold cold water helped my nausea more than anything else.
3. Buying a huge maternity pillow (which is still sleep with to this day haha!)
4. Taking each week as it comes. Having little things to look forward to each week or weekend. Things change every week sometimes for the better. I had symptoms that I thought would only get worse and they actually improved/went away as the weeks went on.
It's all a completely new experience for you and your body so of course you have no idea what to expect! Have you got the support of a partner/family/close friend? That always helps too. Xx
